Juniors is for Pony Club members who have achieved their mini badges or are old enough to move on to learn more about pony care. This is good hands on training in stable management and pony care for those who want to become Saddle Club Shadows (they are age 10 +) to our Saddle Club Seniors age 14 + who help and train on the yard on Saturdays and Sundays.
Please book in at the office
The leasing scheme is growing in popularity where clients lease a pony to keep on working livery and treat as their own. The scheme includes a weekly lesson and removes the risk of first time buying and helps parents on the learning curve as they and their children enjoy the support needed to look after a pony.
Sundays Melissa mainly teaches lessons and the timing will suit those with Saturday school and those with Saturday sporting commitments.
Saddle Club also runs for Shadows and Seniors age 10+.
In the morning for two hours the PC badge session runs from 10am - 12 pm providing training in horse care and stable management from the young ones to seniors who may also be staying for saddle club.
PONY CLUB RIDING AND ROAD SAFETY AND PONY CLUB D AND D+ TESTS
These tests will be running throughout the year in preparation for the C test, please watch for dates.
BHS RIDING AND ROAD SAFETY TEST
Look out for the next BHS Riding and Road Safety Test training which will probably be in the Spring. It is a prerequisite for those taking their BHS stage II exam. Candidates from Bulby and from local equestrian colleges are welcome to take part. Please contact Nat if you are interested in training.
The exam is needed before BHS stage II exam can be taken. The training and exam are open to those training elsewhere. There are eight to twelve places and a list of names is building up which will allow us to plan the next training and examination.
